Kathryn and Andrew's Engagement Session

A few days ago I had the pleasure of meeting with the owners, Angela and Gabrielle, of Faire La Fete Productions, a wedding consulting company here in the Dallas. Our personalities just matched, you could sense it! I was pleasantly suprised to find out that I was chosen as their first wedding vendor of the month. I was completely humbled by their kind words. Tiahesha and Marcus' Engagement Session

Had a lot of fun shooting these yesterday. We absolutely love when our couples are open to my crazy ideas of going into alleys and getting inside bushes! They are a beautiful couple and we are eally looking forward to their wedding in November. Is it me, or does she look slightly like the beautiful Kelly Rowland? We're back from our short vacation and glad to be back! We went to go visit some family in Mexico. We had a lot of fun, no internet access and no phones, very relaxing. We will be posting some of the pictures we took later once we get settled and back on track. But here is a picture of us so everyone can see what we look like, I know we are always curious to see what people look like! It was taken by a relative with their point and shoot camera. Please forgive the graininess of the photo!

Julie and Paul's Wedding

We're back! We shot a great wedding yesterday in Killeen, Texas. We had never met Julie or Paul but we're so happy that they chose us out of so many photographers to come and shoot their wedding. We were honored because Julie is a photographer as well so she understood the importance of photography for her wedding, more than anything else. She wrote me a few days before telling me she was more excited about the pictures than she was about anything else, we were humbled. They were married at Paul's parents family estate. It was absolutely amazing, the place was sooo big and there were so many things to photograph. We were treated like family the whole time we were there. Thank you to everyone we met there for being so open and kind. Now on to the pictures...
Here are a few of our favorites so far, we haven't had a chance to go through all of them but here is a sneak peek for you, Julie and Paul. Hope you have a great time in Maui!

Courtney and Jason's Wedding

We had the chance to shoot Courtney and Jason's beautiful wedding this past Saturday. Tanya and I both had a lot of fun. She was able to come along and second shoot for me again on this wedding. Thanks to Courtney and Jason for allowing her to come out with me. The ones with the pink P are the ones that she shot. We started out the pre-ceremony photos at the Embassy Suites and got the chance to get to know all of the girls, they were all really nice and super laid back. They were up for trying anything crazy I suggested. The ceremony was held at the First United Methodist church, the ceremony was very beautiful, everyone could feel the love that they have for each other. And the reception was held at the Cacharel Restaurant & Grand Ballroom. This was my first time shooting there and I absolutely loved it. I definitely can not miss mentioning that they had the wonderful Emerald City band. They had everyone on their feet dancing. Here are a few from their wedding... Jeanne and Jeff's Wedding

I had the opportunity to shoot Jeanne and Jeff's wedding this past weekend. The weekend started out with their traditional Cambodian ceremony at the First Baptist church of Carrollton. This was something new to me but I really enjoyed it. All of the colors and different outfits were absolutely beautiful. I found myself really intrigued by the different customs and traditions. They had another outdoor ceremony at the Omni Mandalay hotel in Las Colinas. It almost looked like it was going to to rain while they were setting up, but I am so glad that Jeanne stuck to her guns and decided to keep it outside and not move the ceremony indoors. No detail was forgotten, the flowers, dresses and location were all absolutely gorgeous. The bridal party were all a lot of fun. Jeanne and Jeff, thanks for letting us be part of your wedding day. Valerie and Kenny's wedding

Valerie and Kenny were my lucky 7's couple. They booked me I believe, almost over a year ago for this glorious 7/7/07 date. They are two of the sweetest people I have met and make the cutest couple. They were married at Our Redeemer Lutheran church it was a great setting for a very memorable ceremony. Kenny almost fainted during the ceremony, we're so glad that he didn't! The reception was a lot of fun and that was held at the Park Cities Hilton.

We finally decided after a long time of discussing it and weighing out the benefits, that we will be having a new blog professionally designed for us. It is going to be soooo super awesome so please check back! By the way I am Tanya, Cesar's wife of almost 3 years. =) I, until recently have been hiding in the background taking care of all the business stuff. Valerie and Kenny's Engagement Session

Just got back from Valerie and Kenny's engagement session today at the Ft Worth Stockyards. They dressed in cowboy boots and hats, I loved it! Their wedding is tomorrow! They have a very hectic schedule so fortunately we were able to get them done today. They are one of the thousands and thousands of couples getting married on the lucky 7/7/7 date. I am super stoked about the wedding, everyone is super sweet including Valerie's mother. Thankfully we didn't get rained out like yesterday. However, we did barely miss the cattle herd by a couple of minutes though!

I had the idea of shooting some engagement photos at the local fair for fourth of July. Low and Behold the fair wasn't there anymore! Go figure! We were able to get some shots in the downtown Garland area, worked out great. We then worked our way over to another area and shot there for a little bit then it started raining! We were able to get some good ones in though! When is this rain going to stop??? Check out the simpson's photograph! Who else can say they have the simpsons in one of their photos! Here are some of my favorites from Amanda and Artie's wedding last night. They decided to tie the knot after 7 years of being together! Amanda was super cool and really laid back. I had a lot of fun getting to know everyone. The bridesmaids were all a lot of fun. Future brides of mine, I hope! Their ceremony was at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and reception was back at the beautiful Hilton Anatole. Had the pleasure of shooting for Dr. Sunita and Dr. Bill Nesbitt. The ceremony was beautiful, we missed the rain by a couple of minutes! The sun was shinning.. it was perfect. They were married at the Dallas Arboretum and had their reception at the Dallas Petroleum club which had the most spectacular view. You could feel the love between them... I had the pleasure of shooting Marisela and Jose's wedding this past weekend also... on Saturday, here is a little sneak peek. The first e-mail that I got from Marisela before she booked me (if she doesn't mind me sharing) was "I decided to go to your website because we had the same last name." I knew we were going to get along great, Perez's stick together! HaHa From the beginning when I met them and when we did their engagement pictures, I knew that I was going to have a blast at their wedding. They were married at the Old Red Courthouse in Downtown Dallas that was recently renovated. They didn't skip a beat when it came to their details. Everything turned out beautifully and weird enough they are also vacationing in beautiful Hawaii as we speak.

I had the pleasure of shooting Jennifer and Ernest's wedding this past Friday at the beautiful Tribute Golf club in The Colony. Here are a few from their wedding, just as a little sneak peek. They booked me almost a year ago and it was great to see them again and be part of their wedding day. They had a beautiful ceremony outside despite the hot weather. I loved how they included their son in the ceremony... got a great picture of him being funny below...I also loved the Ring Security T-shirt that was my first time seeing that. They are off honeymooning in beautiful Hawaii as we speak. Jealous... yes we are !

O.K here are just a few more photographs from Bo and Roxan's wedding on Saturday.

We started the day off at the Glow Salon in Las Colinas, which was great for me since its just a 2 min drive. =)

Roxan had a great view of downtown Dallas from her hotel room at the W.

This picture is so funny to me because I had little to do with this...the little boy hunted me down and asked if I could take a picture of him doing this exact pose next to the cake. Here is our final result.

Seattle!!!

Whew! Just got back from Seattle that had a 3 hour delay coming home might I add. How fun huh? I was there attending a photography seminar. Boy, they weren't lying when they said it rained ALL the time! The first two pictures were part of my assignment, I was supposed to take a portrait of someone else in my class. I had her wear my sun glasses, thought that gave a little bit of character to the picture... The other pictures are just shots around Seattle as my wife and I were being tourists. Did the normal stuff, the stuff they said "YOU HAVE TO DO" while in Seattle, like get on a ferry and visit Pike Place Market. It was a nice little vacation... Now I am ready to get back to work!
